According to this article, Ultimate Escapes, one of the most popular Vacation Clubs, is nearing bankruptcy. For me, this is a very sad thing to see happening. I think this concept is good, maybe it was “too good” to be true. Different from the Fractional industry, the members of these type of vacation clubs don’t own the real estate and if the club can’t pay the bills, they have nothing. Very sad to see this.
