According to this article, Pelorus Group, a Utah company, is hoping to buy Tamarack, which is currently in bankruptcy court. After reading this though, I am doubtful it will come to fruition.
Well, here is a growing trend that many of us in the industry predicted would happen. Homes are getting smaller, which brings the prices lower overall. Personally, I think it is great because there is no loss on quality, but a lower price is the end result. Also, and probably most important, is the reduction of the carbon footprint that comes from this. With smaller homes, everyone wins.
According to this article, not only did Ritz-Carlton not file for bankruptcy protection on their beautiful resort in Tahoe, which opened last year, their first year performance exceeded all expectations! Now that is an achievement in today’s world.
