This article may be uncovering a new trend in resort real estate. If it is happening in Steamboat, I would have to assume it is happening in many other markets too. With the economy being where it is and people still wanting to fulfill their second, resort, or vacation home needs, Timeshare may find its way back to prominence in the market.
According to this article, Pelorus Group, a Utah company, is hoping to buy Tamarack, which is currently in bankruptcy court. After reading this though, I am doubtful it will come to fruition.
Well, here is a growing trend that many of us in the industry predicted would happen. Homes are getting smaller, which brings the prices lower overall. Personally, I think it is great because there is no loss on quality, but a lower price is the end result. Also, and probably most important, is the reduction of the carbon footprint that comes from this. With smaller homes, everyone wins.
