Apparently the economic crisis is no longer impacting the luxury coastline Real Estate in West Lakes Australia. According to this report, over 40 homes, bringing more than $1 million each, sold in 2009. Good to see this happening in different regions around the world.
This should not have come as a shock to anyone, but what it tells me is we need to be much smarter in what we are building for the next several years. The “Next-Generation” Resort property is the key. No more McMansions. It is time to reduce the wasted space and size of the carbon footprint, while keeping the level of finish high. In doing so, we keep prices lower, but don’t give up quality and save our resources. Everyone wins!!!
There appears to be a growing trend in the luxury resort market. People are craving the open-air experience in their resort properties. Progressive developers, like our friends at Amble Resorts have realized this and are doing it right at their beautiful new development, Isla Palenque, in Panama.
