According to this article, while the overall number of home sales dropped, the high-end market flourished here in D town. There were a total of 55 homes sold at $1 million or more last month. This is up 31% from last August. Sounds like significant discounts have been made to get to that number, but those who are selling are probably buying another (lower priced) home, so let’s hope for some additional trickle down benefit from this.

The Ashville Cluv 151 will be the first Private Residence Club to hit Ashville, NC. It sits atop the chic Hotel Indigo-Ashville Downtown.

This concept worked great back in the day and I believe it will be successful now too. Fractional sales provide the opportunity for people to own a piece of something they ordinarily could not afford. My only concern; is there enough people with that thought process willing to spend on their dreams again?

I love seeing these type of properties coming back into the market place. Sales may be slow for a while, but if they don’t go crazy on marketing costs and ride the rest of this wave out, they will be established and ready for the market as it continues to come back!
