It looks like another of the ResortAuthority.com Collection is making Resort News today. Amble Resorts has now signed West Paces Hotel Group to manage their Eco Friendly and Fabulous Resort, Isla Palenque in Panama. This is very big news and shows Ambles continued efforts at doing resort development the right way. Congratulations to Amble Resorts, West Paces Hotel Group, Isla Palenque, and of course, the many who make Isla Palenque their future second home.

Sales in Vail Valley Starting off Better than Last year

I realize this is only a snapshot and no one can determine whether or not it will be sustainable. That being said, according to this article, which quotes a Land Title Report, sales in the valley nearly doubled in January 2010 vs. January 2009. The good news is; that was in both sales volume and sales dollars. Hopefully February had the same trend and we just keep improving. It is like the clock has rolled back to 2004 or so. I wish I could have those years back too.

Wall Street Journal’s 10 Best Places for Second Homes

The WSJ has released their list of the top 10 Second Home Locations for the US. I am not sure what they used for their criteria here as all of these are the upper end of the upper end, but there is good news in the article. In the very first line they talk about the Luxury Real Estate Market coming back. Love to see them make that statement. As for the list, who wouldn’t want to live at these locations? Problem is; not many can afford to to do it.
